Skype addresses security issue in VOIP software

Skype users now have less to worry about, as the telecommunications company has patched a critical flaw in the system.

The flaw was described as a security issue that would allow an attacker to breach the user’s PC and take control of it once the user clicks on a specified URL.

Skype is well known and well used all around the world, both for leisurely chatting and business calls and voice conferences It is a platform that is considered to be relatives more stable than its contemporaries, offering smoother connections for both voice and chat.

According to the company’s statistics, 34 million people worldwide have download their software, and as much as 1 million people worldwide simultaneously use the platform, which offers free PC to PC calls and charges a small fee for calls to a mobile phone or landline.
