Skype Calls For Inter-operability

Category: Information — Greg @ 4:15 am

Many companies still retain their legacy telephony systems mainly due to issues regarding interoperability with other VoIP systems, several of which are in use all over the globe by different organizations that have already switched to VoIP. As you may have observed all over, people have their own preferences, from the software or hardware-based telephony systems they use to their features that differ from provider to provider.
VoIP has indeed caused a stir in traditional telephony that they have begun to implement products that allow VoIP to flourish, taking the place of traditional telephony. Skype, considered to be one of the best providers of software-based VoIP is now calling for interoperability between if not with all VoIP providers allowing each to inter-connect to each other in one big VoIP network that is truly unified to allow everything to inter-mix, hardware and software VoIP. It may take time but such a call will truly take VoIP into the realm of the future for communications if VoIP is to take the place of traditional telephony systems.
